Angel’s Armory Forge Response; Not all of the 1903 Labeled Smith & Wessons, ejector rods are two pieces and/or have removable end knobs.
In my research on this item, I found a large head ejector rod end tip which is removable on a SMITH & WESSON 1917, MILITARY & POLICE, 32 HAND EJECT (Extractor Rod Head, Large, Early Style).

The "Smith & Wesson, Model of 1903" was the .32 Hand Ejector Second Model.
There were 5 changes associated with the Smith & Wesson, Second Model.
Lastly there was the .32 Hand Ejector Third Model.
